The new WV Beetle range is getting two new kittehs under the hood, the 105 hp 1.6 TDI and the powerful 1.4 TSI 160 hp.
Volkswagen announced that it has introduced two new engines in the new Beetle range. We’re talking about the 1.6 TDI 105 hp and the 1.4 TSI 160 hp unit. Both engines are the following the downsizing philosophy and the brand’s promise for a low fuel consumption in exchange for a good level of performance. For example, the 1.6 TDI 105 PS has an average consumption of 4.5 liters per cent and can reach a top speed of 180 km/h, compared as version 1.2 TSI 105 hp, which consumes 5.9 liters percent combined.
In the 1.6 TDI, Volkswagen Beetle has a theoretical range of 1,222 kilometers, through 55 liter tank and the average consumption of 4.5 liters per cent. Model CO2 emissions are 119 grams of CO2 per kilometer. For comparison, the 105 hp 1.2 TSI version of Beetle emits 137 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
The most powerful version of the Beetle remains the 2.0 TSI 200 hp, which has combined consumption of 7.7 liters and gives 179 percent CO2 grams per kilometer, at a time 0-100 km / h of 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 223 km / h Instead, the 160 hp 1.4 TSI unit’s Beetle needs 8.3 seconds to accelerate to 100 km / h and has a combined consumption of 6.6 liter per cent.
